How Do You Know You're Shedding??

Well I was dating someone for a month and half and he never told me he had HSV 2 well. We had sex and it was unprotected. He ignored me a week later, I didn't understand why, about 4 days later he called me telling me he was in jail over getting into a fight to help his buddy getting jump from these guys because his friend was trying to flirt with this girl and he said dude she is on PS.. I asked what is PS and he told me oh its another dating site..

Well 2 days after that he just stop talking to me all together. A few days after that I got my first outbreak, at first I thought it was from where I cut myself and it was getting infected well it got worse and I took a picture of it with my phone to see what was going on down there and to my surprise it was ulcer white sores. I was in shock and I stayed up all night looking up and reading about STD's.

I figure it was herpes, so I had wait til Monday to get scheduled into our Health department where I live, I got an appointment the next day. I went in and the nurse did culture on my sores she told me she also thought it was herpes and she never see it so bad on someone. I had over 40 sores, I could barely walk or even eat.

Well a week later my test result was in and I was positive for HSV 2. Now I have been talking to someone and he knows I have herpes and he is okay with it, but I do not want to pass it on to him at all when we start to get more serious. I know if you're shedding you can still pass it on with condoms and I like to know how I would know I am shedding???

Trust your body

I'm not an expert but whenever you feel any pain or tingling especially if you're stressed or around the time of your menstrual cycle just hold off on sex altogether. I have been with my partner for a year and a half now and he's shown no signs of getting the virus, however, we are very cautious depending on how I'm feeling. You'll get to know and trust your own body.

Hi, I have genital herpes. I also have found ways to minimize ways to not passing it. Shedding in my understanding is when u have a pain or tingle down there. Whether u have an outbreak or not. But to be safe I generally leave my underwear on and just put my penis through the hole. Of course using a condom would be smart too. Don't feel so bad, it's very common. Hope everything works out for you
