Worried That You've Seen These Images of Herpes?

A recent CDC (Center for Disease Control) study in 2010 indicates that 1 out of every 6 Americans have genital herpes. Isn't that amazing?

But the mind blowing statistic is that 80% of people don't even know they have it! That's why its so important that people see some basic images of herpes, so that they can recognize the symptoms of herpes in themselves or their partner.

Now I'm not a doctor. You're not a doctor. So if you see anything like this on your body or on your partner's body then you should go get a herpes test at a doctor's office.

If I had seen these genital herpes images then I would have gone to a doctor sooner than I did. Remember as soon as you get tested, you can know for sure, then begin the healing and growing process. Life will go on with Herpes.

While herpes outbreaks can look different on each person there are certainly some common characteristics of Herpes Outbreak Symptoms.

Things to look for that you can see in these herpes images are:

• redness irritation of the skin
• small pus/liquid filled blisters (can be white)
• clustered blisters together (not a pimple)
• outbreak turning into scabs
• herpes outbreak lasting around 3-10 days

The above image of herpes is a cold sore. Cold sores are basically a form of oral herpes (HSV-1).

Notice the common characteristics of a herpes outbreak including:

• red irritated skin
• small blisters

What Should You Do Next After Looking at Herpes Photos?

So if you're looking at these images of herpes, you probably concerned that you might have the symptoms of herpes.

Or maybe you've seen these herpes photos on your sexual partner. And they're not telling you or they're in denial about it.

So take a deep breath. This can be a stressful and awkward time for everyone involved.

So consider holding off from sexual activity until you visit a doctor to get a herpes test.

And don't worry, even if you do have herpes of any type, your life will go on and you will still find happiness and love and have great sex.

It's not the end of anything, it's just the start of a new life.
